Diddy called out the Recording Academy recently at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys gala after receiving the Salute to Industry Icons Award. During his speech, he criticized the Grammys for overlooking black artists in major categories.
Despite the valid points he made, rapper Mase took issue with Diddy not heeding to his own advice. He then called out Diddy’s bad business practices with artists in a lengthy Instagram post.
In the post he wrote, “Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label.”
He also added “U CHANGED? GIVE THE ARTIST BACK THEIR $$$. So they can take care of their families.”
