Pop Smoke makes history
The late Pop Smoke’s career was on the go right before he got killed in a fatal shooting that occurred during a home invasion in his California home. It was a tragedy. Luckily, Pop had been putting in enough work during his lifetime. He left sufficient pieces of material to make a decent body of work.
Daily Rap Facts recently reported that Pop Smoke’s debut studio album and first posthumous album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon is back at the top of charts. Well, there is something even more fascinating about the news. Pop Smoke is the first rapper in the century to posthumously return to number one on Billboard Hot 200 album chart.
The posthumous work arrived in July. The album was executively produced by 50 Cent whom the deceased star looked up to during his short career. It performed very well commercially and on the charts and has since been certified platinum with over 1.5 billion streams. We hope Pop Smoke’s team has more quality music on the way.May Big Woo rest forever in peace, his music lives on.
