“God's Plan” was released on January 19, 2018. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Drake released the “God's Plan video on February 28, which featured him donating a million dollars (the budget for the music video) around Miami. Doing this has earned him a lot of money clearly as this became his first diamond single.

When the song released Drake broke records after the song collected 4.3 million streams in the first 24 hours. “God's Plan” is also the second song to ever reach over 100 million-streams in a week.

At the time of this post, “God's Plan” is 11x platinum in the United States. Trippie Redd was supposed to be featured on the song but he didn't finish his verse on time.
