Rick Ross wants to put his catalogue against Jay-Z’s in a Verzuz

Verzuz battles have become a popular platform for rappers to face off. Rick Ross is open for one with Jay Z, even though he is still appreciative towards Hov for giving him his first record deal.

As he continues to promote his new album Richer Than I Ever Been, the Florida rapper passed by The Real where he discussed several issues including a Verzuz with Jay.

“Jay-Z… Yeah! Why not?” The MMG boss said. “To me, that’s what makes Verzuz special because it brings out the best in both parties.”

“That’s a possibility, but I gotta give my flowers to the big homie,” he added. “I got to. My homie gave me my first opportunity signing me to Def Jam Records, and he’s one-of-one.”

Rozay’s new album debuted at No. 20 on Billboard 200 this week after moving 30k album-equivalent units in the first week of release. Despite boasting features from Future, 21 Savage, Wale, The-Dream, and more, the album is Rozay’s first to fail entering the Top 10.
