DeRay Davis suggested should host the next Emmy Awards, sparking excitement on social media
Actor and comedian DeRay Davis has recently proposed that hip-hop superstar icon, 50 Cent should host the next Emmy Awards, setting social media ablaze. In an interview moment with TMZ, Davis was indirectly issuing a statement, saying, “This is gonna sound crazy, but I think 50 Cent should host the Emmys. He funny… and deserving. Why not?”
50 Cent having the theory quickly caught a whiff of it and released an enthusiastic post: “@deraydavis this is so cool, you saying this made my day. 2025 is gonna be the year. Turn down for what!”
Although 50 Cent hasn’t hosted anything before, his unique charisma and flamboyant American personality could make the world believe he is God-given for creating a host. He recently finished the first concert residency in Las Vegas displaying his magical stage presence, but it was not a full success. For example, it received a bad review from Las Vegas blogger Star Fish, who mentioned production and sound design issues.
Notable yet received mixed feedback; however, it left fans wondering about how 50 Cent may fare as an awards show host in the future. However, should he have an audience at the 2025 Emmys, it would be very different from the traditional format and keep making a further mark in defining his legacy as an ever-more versatile entertainer.
