The black 1996 BMW 750iL that Tupac Shakur was riding in when he was shot in Las Vegas is now listed for sale at $1.75 million, reportedly marking the first time the vehicle has been publicly offered on the market since his 1996 shooting, according to Celebrity Cars Las Vegas and AllHipHop.[2][1] The car is being displayed by Celebrity Cars in Las Vegas, where the listing identifies it as the same BMW driven by Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight on the night of the September 7, 1996 drive-by attack that ultimately led to Tupac’s death six days later.[2][1]

According to the official Celebrity Cars listing, this is the “actual vehicle Tupac Shakur was riding in when he was shot following a fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas,” and it was originally leased by Death Row Records.[2] The site notes that the shooting occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. Pacific Time at a red light near East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, when a vehicle pulled alongside the BMW and opened fire, striking Tupac four times with .40-caliber rounds reportedly fired from a Glock handgun.[2][1] AllHipHop reports that the seller claims this is the first time the BMW has been publicly displayed or offered for sale since 1996, adding that documentation verifying ownership and provenance is included with the car.[1]

The BMW has undergone what the dealer describes as a “comprehensive restoration” intended to return it to its condition prior to the shooting, including a fresh coat of black paint and period-correct wheels matching those on the vehicle the night of the attack.[2][1] Despite the restoration, the listing highlights a subtle exterior indentation believed to align with one of the original bullet impact points, intentionally preserved as a physical reminder of the shooting.[2][1] Inside, the interior door panel has reportedly been carefully pulled back to reveal original weld marks where bullets penetrated the vehicle, which the seller presents as further corroboration of the car’s historical significance.[2][1]

The vehicle, showing just over 121,000 miles and described as having “no known mechanical problems,” is currently being exhibited at Celebrity Cars’ Las Vegas showroom, where it has also been featured in media segments and YouTube coverage.[2][3] Nearly three decades after Tupac’s killing, which remains one of hip-hop’s most discussed unsolved (and recently re-examined) cases, the seven-figure listing underscores the enduring cultural fascination with the rapper’s life, death, and the artifacts connected to that fateful night.[1][2]
