The album helped popularize the word GOAT as a definition for the “greatest of all time”. LL Cool J’s album G.O.A.T. became his first No. 1 album.
LL Cool J went on his Twitter to let fans know he helped popularize the term, saying: “I “literally” introduced the term GOAT to hiphop with this album!!!!!! Yes LLCOOLJ started this term in Hiphop !!! In the year 2000!!! It’s the truth don’t be offended!!! I like the other GOATS!!!!”
