Drake has claimed the title of Spotify’s top-streamed rapper for 2024, beating out Kendrick Lamar in the streaming battle

Drake has been named Spotify’s top-streamed rapper for 2024, managing to steal a big win from Kendrick Lamar in the streaming wars.

On the other hand, on Wednesday (December 4), Spotify turned out its annual Wrapped global report and declared Drake as the most-visited rapper worldwide under which he places fourth as the overall most-streamed artist, alongside Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny as the most-streamed artists. Other hip-hop stars who made the top 10 are Travis Scott and Kanye West, ranked sixth and eighth, respectively.

Drake can also solidify his throne in America, where he is Spotify’s top-streamed rapper and is below only Taylor Swift among all artists. Kendrick Lamar is ranked seventh on that list in the US, behind Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, and Future.

However, over on Apple Music, Kendrick scored a massive victory. His Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” claimed the honor of being the platform’s most-listened-to global song for 2024.

Apple Music debuted its “Top Songs of 2024: Global” playlist on Tuesday (November 3) and included Kendrick’s top end in its vast sweep of popular music. Other songs getting attention include Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at number four and Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s piece “I Had Some Help” at number six.

The fight had already turned out to be intensifying before this, with battles showing no sign of abating between the two giants over the largest platforms in the music business.
