Drake’s latest effort set to debut on top of the charts

Last Friday (June 17) was a good day for Drake’s fans as he blessed the world with a new surprise album, Honestly, Nevermind, featuring 21 Savage. Despite the album not getting a rollout or proper marketing, the project is aiming at the top spot on the charts.

HITS Double Daily predicts that the 14-track LP is on pace to sell 210,000 to 230,000 album-equivalent units this week, placing it atop Billboard 200.

The album set a new record on Apple Music’s history for the most first-day streams in dance album category. It also raked 61 million Spotify streams on the first full day and had already hit 100 million by June 19.

Although there are several of Drake’s peers and fanatics who’ve given the album thumbs up, there are others who’ve expressed disappointment. Drizzy recently addressed his critics during his radio show Table For One. “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet,’’ the ‘’Falling Back’’ rapper said. ‘’That’s what we do! We wait for you to catch up. We in here, though, we caught up already. On to the next.”
