Lil Tjay is making progress on his way to recovery
Rapper Lil Tjay has finally regained consciousness and is talking on his own, TMZ has reported on Thursday (June 30). The outlet says according to source close to the situation, the medics have removed the breathing tube from Tjay since getting shot in New Jersey on June 22. The New York rapper’s voice is said to be still intact.
Cops say Tjay was shot by Mohamed Konate during an attempted robbery. The ‘’In My Head’’ rapper was struck several times in the chest & neck. Konate is being charged with three counts of attempted first degree murder.
Jeffrey Valdez, 24, and Antoine Boyd, 22, Tjay’s associates who were with him at the time of the shooting, were also arrested for unlawful possession of weapons. Boyd was hit once during the shooting.
