LL Cool J helped popularize the term “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) when he released his eighth album “G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) on September 12, 2000. The album helped popularize the word GOAT as a definition for the “greatest of all time”. LL Cool J’s album G.O.A.T. became his first No. 1 album.

LL Cool J went on his Twitter to let fans know he helped popularize the term, saying: “I “literally” introduced the term GOAT to hiphop with this album!!!!!! Yes LLCOOLJ started this term in Hiphop !!! In the year 2000!!! It’s the truth don’t be offended!!! I like the other GOATS!!!!”
