The performance marked Kendrick’s first time in the city since the pair’s feud reignited in 2024—and he made it clear he wasn’t backing down.

Meanwhile, Drake had planned to counter the moment with a Twitch livestream alongside internet sensation Kai Cenat, where they were set to announce winners of their “Somebody Loves Me” video challenge. But the highly anticipated stream—scheduled at the same time as Kendrick’s performance—was postponed at the last minute.
Cenat later confirmed Drake would have been joining him to give away $15,000 each to 20 fans for their creative video ideas. Despite the delay, the final video for “Somebody Loves Me” will still feature clips directed by fans.
Interestingly, Cenat recently critiqued Drake’s video for “Nokia,” saying, “Music video, not a banger,” before offering his own arcade-themed concept during a livestream.
