Lil Tjay has publicly denied any involvement in the recent shooting targeting Kick streamer Konvy during a livestream in the Bronx, after social media speculation attempted to link the Bronx rapper to the incident. According to AllHipHop, the shooting occurred on Friday night, January 9, 2026, while Konvy was broadcasting from a car in the Bronx when shots rang out moments after viewers noticed a green dot appear on his head.[1][4] Law enforcement has not named Lil Tjay as a suspect, and there are no official police statements tying him to the attack at press time.[1][4]

Amid that speculation, screenshots began circulating on social media that allegedly showed Lil Tjay mocking the shooting in now-deleted Instagram Story posts, including content with crying-laughing emojis and captions that some interpreted as aimed at Konvy.[1][4] These alleged posts have not been independently verified and remain reportedly sourced from user-captured screenshots.[1][4] In response, Lil Tjay issued a firm statement on his social channels denying any role in the drive-by shooting or in instigating violence. “I had nothing to do with what happened last night in the Bronx,” he said, adding that blogs were “circulating old posts, taken out of context, and presenting them as recent, which is false.”[1][5] He also expressed sympathy for those affected and urged people to “stop spreading misinformation.”[1]
