Judge denies Nipsey Hussle’s killer’s request to have murder charge reduced to manslaughter

Nipsey Hussle’s killer to be tried on February 22, 2023

Nipsey Hussle’s accused killer Eric Holder suffers another defeat in court. In November, Holder’s attorney Aaron Jensen filed a motion for the charges to be reduced from first-degree murder to second-degree, which is voluntary manslaughter.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke rejected the defense’s motion on Monday (December 19). Deputy District Attorney John McKinney argued that the murders were “cold-blooded” and “calculated,” adding that Holder did have “quite a bit of time for premeditation and deliberation.”

“Saying, ‘You’re through,’ before shooting him and shooting him a number of times… kicking him in the head, that’s personal… What makes this murder first-degree is premeditation and deliberation,” McKinney continued.
