Judge turns down Kanye West’s lawyers’ request to publish their withdrawal on newspaper ads

West’s defense team denied permission to advertise their withdrawal on LA newspapers, at least for now

Kanye West’s legal defense team won’t be publishing their abandonment of the rapper on newspaper ads anytime soon. Per a report by Allhiphop, United States District Judge Analisa Torres dismissed Greenberg Traurig and his law firm’s motion on Tuesday (January 24) to inform Ye about their withdrawal via ads published on Los Angeles newspapers.

Kanye West’s legal team is planning on telling him they dropped him through the newspaper, TMZ reports.

Judge Torres pointed out that Greenberg Traurig firm didn’t apply “diligent efforts” to contact Kanye, for instance hiring a private investigator to locate the rapper. However, the judge did grant Traurig until February 15 to present Kanye with proper documents.
