Mase discusses hanging up the mic at his peak – ‘It’s destiny’

Published March 26, 2024 by

Mase doesn’t regret quitting rap at his highest

Mase reveals that he doesn’t regret quitting rap when his career had just peaked. Recently speaking on It Is What It Is, the rapper-turn-pastor-turn-sports podcaster explained that stepping out of the booth kept him away from problems that other Bad Boy artists later ran into their lives.

“Everything now that we see playing out was all the things I escaped — the car, the Shyne, the Loon, Puff Daddy, the Craig Mack, the Biggie Smalls,” Mase explained. “So even though I made those decisions and it cost me money, that’s why I got with Killa and they gave me the money back. I didn’t lose no money.
