Metro Boomin & Timbaland agree with Dr. Dre’s dislike of albums with multiple producers

Metro & Timb share Dre’s opinion

Metro Boomin and Timbaland’s opinions on hip hop production today seem to align with that of Dr. Dre.

On October 21, Timbaland shared a snippet from the Dre and Snoop Dogg interview a few days earlier with Stephen A. Smith. During the interview, Dre revealed his frustration with today’s rap albums featuring multiple producers.

“Find your collaborator. I don’t like the fact that there are, like, nine different producers on one album. I like the idea of one producer on one album. Continuity is everything,” Dre explained.

Later, when Smith inquired why this trend had emerged, Dre responded, “I don’t know, but I don’t like it.”

He continued, “If you a producer, you should be able to produce the entire album. That’s what I thought it was supposed to be. That’s what I was doing at the beginning.”

Timbaland agreed with Dre, posting the comment “Preach!!!!” while Metro Boomin also seemed to think so, posting “All facts!” in the comments section.
