Published February 15, 2024 by

Noreaga accepts the beat ‘wasn’t’ for him

N.O.R.E had an opportunity to record on the beat used by Ludacris on his smash hit, “Southern Hospitality.” The rapper was chopping it up with Luda on Drink Champs podcast when he revealed that he regrets his decision, but recognizes it was the best.

“‘Throw them bows,’ I heard that beat. I passed on it,” he explained. “For 21 years, I’ve been kicking myself in the ass! It wasn’t for me. I wouldn’t have done ‘Southern Hospitality.’”

The record was produced by the Neptunes and appeared on Luda’s Back for the First Time album. It became a commercial success as it reached at No. 23 at the Billboard Hot 100.
