North West Raps in Japanese on FKA twigs’ New Song ‘Childlike Things’

Ye’s 10-year-old daughter makes her mark on FKA Twigs’ latest album

North West is showing off her musical talents once again, this time appearing on FKA Twigs’ new track “Childlike Things,” released on January 24. The 10-year-old daughter of Kanye West spits bars in Japanese on the song, which is featured on Twigs’ album EUSEXUA.

In her verse, North introduces herself as “North-chan,” rapping, “Hello / My name is North-chan / From California to Tokyo / Jesus, the King / Praise the Lord / Jesus is the one and only true God (You need to know).” The inclusion of Japanese adds a unique cultural twist to the track, which showcases North’s growing musical versatility.

This feature comes just months after North announced her debut album, Elementary School Dropout, a playful nod to her father’s iconic The College Dropout. At a Vultures 2 listening event last year, North revealed her upcoming project, sparking excitement from fans. She also made waves with her debut on her dad’s collaborative album Vultures 1, where she rapped on “Talking” alongside Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign.

With her talents already making waves, it seems North is ready to continue carving her path in music.
