Selena Gomez has revealed a surprising childhood crush — and it’s none other than West Coast rap legend Ice Cube.
During a recent appearance on GOAT Talk with Karol G, the singer and actress shared a sweet (and unexpected) confession about her younger years:
“Can I tell you my first one that I had a crush on? Ice Cube,” Gomez said with a laugh. “I had the biggest crush on him. I was, like, five. It’s so weird but I just thought he would protect me.” She added that the affection was purely childhood innocence: “I’m only saying it simply based on my childhood.”
Gomez also revealed that Eminem holds the title of her favorite rapper of all time, crediting her DJ father for introducing her to Slim Shady’s music:
“Every time it was an Eminem song, I would just get so excited,” she said.
