Iconic Musician Teases Fans with Rare Demos and Ideas from Legends

Terrace Martin has revealed that he recently recovered a nearly 20-year-old hard drive containing unreleased collaborations with some of the most influential artists in music history, including Kendrick Lamar, the Beastie Boys, Quincy Jones, and more. The veteran producer and musician shared the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (January 21), offering fans a glimpse into the past.

“I just recently got a hard drive recovered from 17 years ago,” Martin posted. “It’s so many ideas and demos from some of my favorite artists I have worked with… it’s interesting to hear where I was at musically 17 years ago alongside friends like James Fauntleroy, Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Quincy Jones & so many more.”

Martin reflected on his growth as an artist, noting the “confidence” and “uncomfortably” he felt while working with these legendary figures. He then asked his followers whether they’d like to hear these rare recordings.

With decades of collaborations, including pivotal contributions to Kendrick Lamar’s catalog, Martin’s potential release has fans eagerly awaiting a deeper look into his musical journey and history with some of the greatest in the game.
