Wu-Tang Clan Affiliate Holocaust Dies in Police Custody

Published January 28, 2025 by

Warcloud Passes Away While Held at Theo Lacy Facility

Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated rapper Holocaust, also known as Warlord, died while in police custody shortly after his arrest on theft and drug charges. The 45-year-old rapper, whose real name was Anthony Creston Brown, was found unresponsive on Sunday afternoon (December 29) at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange County, California.

Holocaust was a member of the Black Knights, featured on the 1998 Wu-Tang Killa Bees album The Swarm and two of RZA’s Bobby Digital projects. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department stated that there were no suspicious circumstances, with a final cause of death pending an autopsy and toxicology report.

Earlier in the week, Holocaust was booked on theft charges and later for possessing drugs in jail. It is unclear if these contributed to his death.

Wu-Tang affiliate Christ Bearer expressed his disbelief on Instagram, claiming the Holocaust “did more time for mental illness than hardened criminals.” He announced plans to support Holocaust’s family through a potential GoFundMe.

Fans have taken to social media to mourn his passing, remembering his unique lyrical style and contributions to the hip-hop community.
