Meek Mill started out as a battle rapper and he was originally part of a short-lived rap group called “The Bloodhoundz” before he started his solo career. The Philadelphia based group featured Meek Mill and and three of his friends; Young Pooh, Dat Nigga Lil, and Mel-Luv.

The group released a 22-track mixtape titled “Blood in Blood out.” Along with 3 other mixtapes.
