Uncle Snoop Is Catching Heat, But He’s Keeping It Cool
Snoop Dogg is feeling the heat after appearing to cozy up to former political foe, Donald Trump. Fans have been quick to call out the apparent shift in stance, especially after a resurfaced 2017 Instagram video where Snoop harshly criticized any artist willing to perform for the then-president.
Now, the tables have turned. Snoop was one of the few artists to perform at the first Crypto Ball ahead of Trump’s inauguration, leaving many of his supporters disappointed. Some took to social media to accuse him of hypocrisy, digging up his old remarks, which many say have aged “like fine milk.” Even Elon Musk joined in, commenting, “The vibe shift is real.”
Despite the criticism, Snoop remains unfazed. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, he shared a tribute to the civil rights leader, but it did little to quell the outrage. “But you’re supporting Trump… it’s not adding up,” one person commented.
For now, Snoop appears unbothered by the backlash. Whether he addresses it directly or continues to let the controversy ride remains to be seen.
