Yasiin Bey fka Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star and they have announced that their second studio album will be released on May 3, 2022. Titled No Fear of Time, the project was produced in its entirety by California producer Mad Lib and will be released on the podcasting platform Luminary. “Recorded guerrilla-style in hotel rooms and dressing rooms around the globe, the 9-track album has a future vibe with vintage soul, fitting for one of the most anticipated releases in decades.”
The project has been rumored for years but was met with multiple setbacks. Black Star and Dave Chappelle have been hosting a podcast called The Midnight Miracle on Luminary. The platform offers a free 7-day trial.
