Also spotted at the event were cinema heavyweights Denzel Washington and Spike Lee, adding to the night’s star power.
While there’s still no official release date for Don’t Be Dumb, the Cannes previews signal that the project may finally be nearing completion—much to the anticipation of fans who’ve waited years for a new full-length from the A$AP Mob leader.
A$AP Rocky received the Cultural Innovator Award at the 2024 Fashion Awards for his impact on fashion and culture last year
A$AP Rocky was awarded the significant Cultural Innovator Award at the 2024 Fashion Awards, which recognized the influence he had over fashion and culture in the previous year.
The award is for those insiders in the entertainment industry known to have presented groundbreaking fashion moments that are globally relevant. The official description, however, reserves this honor for those innovators whose style and creativity affect the fashion world and much more.
The Harlem-born rapper received the award during a ceremony in the UK on December 2, dressed in a sharp Bottega Veneta navy suit. Partner Rihanna proudly filmed the same moment from the audience.
“This is insane right here. It’s crazy!” he said as he received the award. “It is about darn time, you know what I’m saying? Just being real, though, I was really honored. To me, being a cultural innovator means a lot, especially as a rapper involved in the fashion side of things. I think the lines between the two are definitely blurred now.”
He concluded his speech with morale boosters for the young designers whom he said had lost out on awards: “To all those young designers nominated here tonight, whether you got an award or not, I hope this inspires you to keep it up. You can do it too.”

On Thursday (November 7), the Harlem rapper was present at the New York City’s launch event of the A$AP Puma Takeover where fans asked him about the status of the project which was previously set for August 30 release. “ASAP, n-gga,” Rocky replied.
The update comes only days after the fans noticed that the retailers had removed the option to pre-order the vinyl version of the record, hinting at further delay.

According to NBC News, the arrest is in relation to a November 2021 shooting where an alleged victim says Rocky shot at them multiple times and grazed his left hand.
