It’s been over two years since Baby Keem blessed the world with a new album, but thankfully, he’s hands-on in the studio putting the next one together.
This week, Keem’s producer Scott Bridgeway revealed on X that fans should expect his ‘best’ work yet with the forthcoming album. The PgLang signee has been teasing the album since last year and is rumored to be titled Child With Wolves.
The project will follow up Keem’s debut album, The Melodic Blue, released in 2021. He supplemented it with the deluxe version the following year.
Baby Keem unleashed The Melodic Blue: A Short Story film on Amazon Prime Tuesday (December 5). The film is executive-produced by Keem and Kendrick Lamar, and features Amandla Stenberg.
The film arrived with three new records: “Rock Me,” “Torch,” and “White Laces.”

Keem released his album The Melodic Blue in 2021 as his debut studio release. It featured the likes of Kendrick, Travis Scott and Don Toliver.
Baby Keem unveiled the deluxe version of his debut release, The Melodic Blue, on Friday (October 28) that contained a Fugees sample. The pgLang artist hopped on Twitter to thank Lauryn Hill for clearing the song “highway 95.”
“Thank you Ms. Hill,” the 22-year old rapper wrote.
The track samples Fugees’ 1996 hit “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” which also covered Roberta Flack’s 1973 song of the same title.
Keem’s deluxe to his 2021 album spawns seven new songs including “a life of pain,” which his cousin Kendrick Lamar had teased on social media Thursday writing, “I get to hear life of pain again??” The project features Brent Faiyaz, Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert and Pink Pantheress
This is not the first time James has shown The Melodic Blue rapper support. In 2021, James posted a video working out to Keem’s “Family Ties,” a collaborative effort with his cousin Kendrick Lamar.
Keem’s debut studio album, The Melodic Blue, was released via Kendrick’s label pgLang. It debuted at #5 on Billboard 200 after moving 53k total album-equivalent units.
Before Baby Keem was famously known as a rapper, producer, and Kendrick Lamar’s cousin, he used to be a gamer and record himself playing Minecraft and Fifa on his old YouTube Channel from 2014 ‘HykeezyHD’. Around the age of 14/15 (circa 2014), Baby Keem would stream on Twitch, YouTube, and he would be on forums under the usernames HykeeMC and Hykeezy/HykeezyHD.
Baby Keem’s YouTube isn’t up anymore but here is an old screenshot from Wayback machine of his YouTube.
There is also an old screenshot of Baby Keem on Tom’s Hardware forum asking for help on computer hardware.
Baby Keem & Lil Uzi Vert have a new song on the way
Baby Keem has proven to be one of the most sensational new talents in the game right now, a collab with new school frontrunner Lil Uzi Vert could obviously work miracles. During an after party show at 808 Club Berlin on Thursday (June 23), Keem and his producer Scott Bridgeway played part of a thrilling unreleased Uzi collab titled ”Hit It.”
The record sees the two rappers infectiously flowing over a splendid production from Bridgeway & Soldado, the former having heavily contributed on Keem’s debut album, The Melodic Blue.
‘’Doot-doot, doot-doot, fuck the loaf, I made the bread, Doot-doot, doot-doot, I see numbers in my head (Yeah), ha, I like dead people instead, Doot-doot, doot-doot, ain’t ’bout money, texts on read, Doot-doot, doot-doot, get it (Yeah),’’ Uzi raps on his verse.
On the second verse, Keem spits ‘’And I just lit his [?] up for some entertainment, Won my first Grammy, put my opps in the pavement, I told my ghetto bitch to shut the fuck up (Ayy), I like tough love (Ayy, ayy), I know they don’t trust us.’’
