    Burna Boy continues to make Billboard history

    Burna Boy becomes the first African artist to Chart a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive years, according to Chart Data.

    His latest record to crack the chart is 21 Savage’s “Just Like Me,” off his new album, american dream. Other tracks that have entered the chart include “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” with 21 Savage, and Taliban II featuring Byron Messia in 2023, as well as “Last Last” and “Loved By You” with Justin Bieber in 2022 and 2021 respectively.

    Burna Boy makes history

    Burna Boy sets a new record as he becomes the first African artist ever to earn two platinum singles. This is after the African Giant’s hit record “Last Last” sold 1M units across the US, making it eligible for platinum certification by Recording Industry of America (RIAA). The track was released as the first single off his sixth studio album, Love, Damini.

    The Nigerian Afropop star received his first solo platinum single earlier this year after his 2018 smash, “Ye,” surpassed 1M units in the US.

    The reigning king of Nigerian afrobeat, Burna Boy has released his highly anticipated album Twice As Tall today (August 13). It is light on features but Naughty by Nature and Stormzy drop by. The album was executive produced by Diddy and follows the 2019’s, Grammy-nominated African Giant.

    Burna Boy’s music was featured in Beyonce’s Black Is King and his status as an international superstar continues to rise. African sounds and rhythms are influencing every genre of music and his brand is the tip of the spear. Check out Twice As Tall and catch a vibe!

    Diddy to Executive Produce Burna Boy’s forthcoming ‘Twice as Tall’ album

    Revolt TV recently announced that rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs will be the executive producer on Nigerian sensation Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu aka Burna Boy‘s next album, Twice as Tall, and the mega-producer had a lot to say. “Through this album, I think it’s important for Africa to be heard. And so it’s bigger than just an album. He’s not just on a musical artist trip. He’s a revolutionary.”

    “I’m on record that I like hit records. If they’re not hit records, I don’t like them,” Diddy said. “A lot of times when an artist wants to be coached or pushed to maybe a greater level, that’s where I’ve come in.”

    The bulk of the project was recorded during the pandemic, prior to consulting Diddy. He was brought on board to elevate the album to the level of past hit records he’s worked on. The album is scheduled to drop on August 13. The lead single “Wonderful” dropped last month.

    Watch Dave live it up in his music video for “Location” ft. Burna Boy

    UK rapper Dave has at long lasted unveiled the video to his new single “Location” featuring Afro-fusion artist Burna Boy. The feel good track is a fan favourite taken from his debut album Psychodrama released in March, and has become somewhat of an unofficial summer anthem.

    The visuals follow the artist on his recent trip to Stormzy’s #MERKY Festival in Ibiza, an ironic foreshadowing of this tweet.

    Depending on your summer plans, the video will either get you in the mood or in your holiday blues. Either way, enjoy the video below and watch out for cameos from artists such as Stormzy, J Hus and Jorja Smith.
