    Chief Keef will be bringing his narrative to the screen soon with the help of Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett and Black-ish producer Kenya Barris. As reported by Variety, the drill music star will ben the center of a documentary directed by Bennett and produced by Barris alongside Jeremy Allen.

    Per reports, the film “will examine Chicago’s influence on Keef’s life and career, as well as his impact on the city’s music scene and beyond.”

    Chief Keef is happy to announce to the world that he’s been able to stay away from lean for some time now. The rapper recently revealed the news on Instagram stories shortly after unleashing his new album Almighty So 2.

    “Been clean of lean 3-4 months now! CHAMPION,” Sosa wrote.

    The Chicago legend delivered his long-anticipated album Almighty So 2 on May 10 with guest appearances from G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Tierra Whack, Quavo, and Sexyy Red.

    Given Keef’s status as an independent artist and having mostly self-produced the album, it scored fairly impressive numbers of 23k equivalent album units in the first week.

    Lucki feels like he owes one to Sosa

    Lucki is looking forward to tell Chief Keef’s story on the big screen. During a recent interview on Montreality, the Almost There rapper revealed that he wants to create a movie covering Keef’s rise fame.

    “He literally helped everybody, like, all types of kids,” he said. “But he did a lot for me, creative wise, too.”

    He added, “Chief Keef, it’s kind of weird, like…he underground in a way, right? He’s like the only person I listen to. But Imma make a movie about Chief Keef. I told him we was gonna make a movie, and he said he was down, but he don’t know it’s about him. He’s probably not gonna want to do it.”

    Chief Keef scores new RIAA certification

    Chief Keef earns himself one more platinum certification from RIAA with his smash hit “Faneto.” The record attained the status after selling over 1m copies in the US.

    The track was released in 2014 as part of his mixtape, Back From The Dead 2. It’s his forth platinum single as his other songs: “I Don’t Like,” “Love Sosa” and “Hate Bein’ Sober” also reached the milestone in the past.

    “Faneto” received widespread acclaim upon its release and was even covered by Drake. Jay-Z also referenced it on “APESHIT,” the lead single from his collab album with Beyoncé, Everything Is Love.

    Sexy Redd and Chief Keef could be joining forces for another collaboration. On Thursday (March 21), photos circulated online from what looks like a video shoot for a record from the pair.

    The duo scored a hit last December when they teamed for “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Daddy).”

    Sosa recently encountered Billboard News journalists who asked him about the prospect of working with Sexy Redd. “Shit. I just know she fuck with me real heavy,” he responded. “I fuck with her too. Saying she wants to come through and I said ‘hell fucking yeah.’”

    Chief Keef relates to and appreciates Sexy Redd’s character. The Dirty Narchos rapper recently caught up with Billboard News where he shared his view on the Memphis rapper’s rapid rise to stardom. “She just … you could tell she really just come from where we come from,” Sosa explained.

    He went on to talk about collaborating with the “Yeah Glo” rapper. “Shit. I just know she fuck with me real heavy. I fuck with her too. Saying she wants to come through and I said “hell fucking yeah,” he said.

    Sosa and Glo linked up in 2023 for the latter’s single, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Daddy).”

    Boxing champions Gervonta Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia faced off in a highly-anticipated match on Saturday night (April 22), where Tank stopped Garcia with a body punch during the seventh round. As Tank walked out the ring before the fight, he was escorted by Chief Keef who performed his classic hit “Love Sosa.”

    Keef took to Instagram stories Sunday night (April 23) joking that Tank didn’t want to walk out with him playing his menacing 2014 record “Faneto” because he would’ve beaten Garcia more viciously, thus he decided to be mellow and played “Love Sosa.”

    “Tank aint wanna go out to faneto he was gone do em wayyyyyy worser he wanted to be mellow,” Keef wrote, followed by two laughing emojis.

    Sosa shares updated ‘AS2’ release date

    Chief Keef finally unveils the official release date for his next project, Almighty So 2. The anticipated tape is now listed on Apple Music with a release date of April 14. The project was initially slated for a December 16 release date but was delayed with no explanation.

    The rapper offered his fans something to hold on to by releasing an extended version of his debut album, Finally Rich, that included seven additional songs. The first segment of Almighty So was released in 2013 with features from Tadoe and Cdai. It was hosted by DJ Scream.
