    A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie scores first diamond single with Kodak Black-assisted ‘Drowning’

    A Boogie joins diamond club

    A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie hits new career milestone after his smash hit “Drowning” featuring Kodak Black was certified diamond, which means it hit 10m units sales mark, according to Chart Data.

    The track was released in 2017 and served as the lead single for his debut studio album, The Bigger Artist.

    While discussing his second collaboration with Yak “Water (Drowning Pt. 2)” in a 2022 interview with GQ, the Bronx rapper anticipated this achievement.

    “Kodak and I want a diamond record under our belt right now,” he explained at the time. “So when it comes to ‘Water,’ it’s going to make ‘Drowning’ go diamond at the same time. We’re going to do the video together this time, and bring both of our fan bases together

    “I was telling everybody, ‘This got to be the main one right here. We got to push this shit right here,’ so we are going to go hard for this song.”

    A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is gearing up to drop his next studio album, Me vs Myself, this Friday (December 9). As fans await the forthcoming drop, A Boogie unleashes a new single, “Water (Drowning Pt. 2)”, featuring Kodak Black. He accompanied the track with the official visualizer.

    A Boogie released the first part of the song in 2017, with a feature from Kodak as well. The record, which was part of the Highbridge rapper’s debut album, The Bigger Artist, debuted and peaked at No. 94 and No. 38 on Billboard’s Hot 100 respectively.

    New York rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie unveils the official tracklist for his upcoming album, Me vs Myself, which arrives this Friday (December 9). The rapper shared the 22-song list on Monday (December 5).

    With each song alternating with the next between the rapper’s two personas: A Boogie and Artist, the project includes features from Roddy Richh, Tory Lanez, Kodak Black, Lil Durk, among others. A Boogie also shared the potential cover for the forthcoming album.

    A Boogie’s last album, Artist 2.0, was released in February 2020. It featured guest appearances from Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Gunna, DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.

    Juelz Santana and A Boogie have new music on the way

    Juelz Santana has some unreleased music in store waiting to hit airwaves. The rapper took to Instagram on Thursday (November 10) to share a new snippet that features A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. In the clip, Santana rocks a blue hoodie while rocking the unheard song in the studio.

    The video captures the rapper dropping final bars of a verse before A Boogie comes in with a melodic hook. “It’s Hoodie Season.. Loading… Santana X ABoogie,” he wrote in the caption.

    Santana and A Boogie had worked together in 2017 on the song, “The Get Back.” The track was later included on Santana’s project #FREESANTANA in 2020.

    A Boogie Wit da Hoodie doesn’t want to get in Drake & 21 Savage’s way when they drop their joint album. The New York artist announced on Instagram stories this week that he’s no longer dropping Me vs Myself November 4, to avoid competing with Drizzy and Sav in sales.

    “Sorry but album dropping December now, Drake was droppping same day and I’m not with that,” he wrote on IG.

    A Boogie’s upcoming project will be his fourth studio release of his career. It was preceded by B4AVA EP released in 2021. His last album, Artist 2.0, dropped in 2020. The project was originally titled, A Boogie vs Artist but the rapper later changed his mind.

    The 26-year old rapper first announced his upcoming album in 2020 under the title A Boogie vs Artist. It’s a follow up to Artist 2.0 which dropped that year. He released the 7-song EP, B4AVA, in 2021 as a teaser for the forthcoming album.
