Nipsey Hussle’s Killer Has Conviction Upheld by Court of Appeal

Court of Appeal Upholds Nipsey Hussle’s Killer’s Conviction

Eric Holder, the murderer of the famous rapper Nipsey Hussle, appealed his conviction of 2022 – due to some complications with the trial. However, California’s Court of Appeal has now denied his appeal.

On Tuesday (November 5), the judges of the court’s Second District confirmed the decision following the conviction of Holder.

The appeal concerned two main aspects. First, Holder contended that the trial judge erroneously cut off part of his counsel’s closing speech, which asked the jury to consider what was in Holder’s mind when he pulled the trigger. The appeals court found otherwise, holding that such conjecture was properly ruled out because, unlike most defendants, Holder did not take the stand in his defense.

Ex-cop says Nipsey Hussle may have been killed by LAPD

Former police says it’s possible LAPD was involved in Nip’s murder

Nipsey Hussle’s tragic murder was solved in February after Eric Holder Jr. was sentenced to 60 years in prison. Earlier this month, former LAPD officer Bernard Robins made shocking allegations on an episode on Comedy Hype podcast that there is a chance the LAPD was responsible for Nipsey’s killing. Robins added that Nip may have been targeted for being on the forefront of helping his community.

“I think that there could have been,” Robin answered after a host asked him if the LAPD could’ve been involved. “I’ve never witnessed any law enforcement officers say that there was something going on or even eluded to it. But there’s that possibility. We know a lot of the positive things that he was doing in the community. So, there’s definitely that possibility that they were that determined to stop what he had going, that they probably could have sent [Eric Holder Jr.] to go and do that.

“I think also that they said [Eric] was an informant for law enforcement,” he continued. “That was a part of the issue that he had with Nipsey Hussle allegedly so we don’t know. We don’t know what was going on behind those closed doors.”

Nip’s brother says Puma makes sure rapper’s kids are “set up straight”

Right before his untimely death, Nipsey Hussle and his Marathon Clothing company had inked a deal with Puma. According to Nip’s brother Blacc Sam, Puma deposits money in the late rapper’s children’s trust funds.

“After everything, they came back to the table and made sure the kids was set up straight,” Sam recently told Earn Your Leisure. “It had nothing to do with sales of clothes or the success of the capsules, just off the top every year they hit the kids in the trust fund. They did right for Hussle.”

Holder was found guilty of the crime in July last year and his sentencing has been pushed back several times, including in November. The delay was due to Holder’s defense filing a motion to have his conviction reduced to manslaughter or second-degree murder, but the judge turned it down.

Nipsey Hussle’s killer to be tried on February 22, 2023

Nipsey Hussle’s accused killer Eric Holder suffers another defeat in court. In November, Holder’s attorney Aaron Jensen filed a motion for the charges to be reduced from first-degree murder to second-degree, which is voluntary manslaughter.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke rejected the defense’s motion on Monday (December 19). Deputy District Attorney John McKinney argued that the murders were “cold-blooded” and “calculated,” adding that Holder did have “quite a bit of time for premeditation and deliberation.”

“Saying, ‘You’re through,’ before shooting him and shooting him a number of times… kicking him in the head, that’s personal… What makes this murder first-degree is premeditation and deliberation,” McKinney continued.
