Tyler Set to Rock New York City’s Governors Ball This June
Tyler, The Creator will headline the first night of this year’s Governors Ball festival in New York City, marking a significant moment for the rapper and producer. The festival, set to take place from June 6 to June 8, revealed its star-studded lineup on January 14, with Tyler taking center stage on Friday night. Benson Boone, Tyla, JPEGMAFIA, BigXThaPlug, and more will be alongside him.
Day two of the festival will see Olivia Rodrigo headlining, joined by Mariah The Scientist and Yaya Bey. The final day will feature Hozier and Amaarae, with a wealth of additional acts rounding out the three-day event. Tickets are set to go on sale on January 16.
Tyler’s accomplishments have earned him praise from musical legends, including Iggy Pop. The punk icon recently described Tyler as “a genuine all-around song, dance, writer, talent” during a conversation on his BBC Radio show. Iggy, who worked with Tyler on a 2020 Gucci campaign ad, lauded his ability to combine old-school talent with a modern approach.
