Shawn Carter Aka Jay-Z in his Reasonable Doubt-era ghost-wrote the Space Jam soundtrack’s last song, Bugs Bunny’s rap song “Buggin’.” Jay Z first appeared on the soundtrack which released on November 12, 1996 when he was featured on R. Kelly’s “All My Days” with Changing Faces, but little do people know Jay Z wrote Bugs Bunny’s lyrics on “Buggin’.”
The Space Jam soundtrack also included R Kelly’s smash hit “I Believe I Can Fly” which was first released on the soundtrack and Seal’s cover of the Steve Miller Band “Fly Like an Eagle.” The Space Jam soundtrack peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
The 14 song soundtrack also featured Salt-N-Pepa, Coolio, Seal, Biz Markie, Monica, Method Man, LL Cool J and more.
