Kanye West is requesting a name change
Kanye West is a man of many nicknames: Yeezy, Mr. West, Yeezus (self-proclaimed), and Ye — amongst many more. Reportedly, according to TMZ, Kanye has filed legal documents in Los Angeles, California, to change his name to “Ye.”
Kanye has asked the court to change his name from Kanye Amari West to the simple name of Ye. The context of this request is straight to the point. If the judge signs off on the document, then Kanye will officially be granted his name change.

TMZ notes that unless fraud or other malicious intentions come behind the request, it’s more than likely that the judge will sign off on this.
