Childish Gambino attended a 2004 Beastie Boys Concert

Donald Glover, famously also known as Childish Gambino makes a brief appearance in the 2006 Beastie Boys concert film Awesome, I Fuckin’ Shot That, which was directed by Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch under the alias Nathaniel Hörnblowér. The footage was from 2004 and at the time Gambino was 21 years old.

This was discovered by a Reddit user who noticed Gambino in the audience footage from 2004 at Madison Square Garden. Childish is seen rapping Beastie Boys’ “Three MC’s And One DJ.” from their 1998 album Hello Nasty.

The concert was at Madison Square garden, The Beastie Boys gave camcorders to 50 fans in the audience and had them film the event which ended up on Awesome; I Fuckin’ Shot That. Childish Gambino was a student at NYU during the time. 4 years later Donald Glover would start his rap career under the moniker Childish Gambino and release a mixtape title ‘Sick Boi‘.
