50 Cent is executive producing Pop Smoke‘s posthumous album. The album is set to arrive this month, but not without some finishing touches and fitting features.
50 Cent spoke with Ebro Darden on his Beats 1 Radio show and Ebro asked about updates in relation to the Pop Smoke album. 50 said the album is still on schedule for release and is hoping to add some organic features to the project.
“I definitely want to get Roddy Ricch and few other people that I know would fit on these records organically. I’m going to send it to them and I’m going to say ‘play it. Listen, if you don’t feel this is it, don’t even touch it. Please send it back, delete, and just move on,” 50 said on the project.
It’s clear that he doesn’t want any forced material on this album. Pop Smoke was gunned down in mid-February during an armed burglary situation. While the loss of the young rapper is still something to mourn, there’s also the fact that his killer has yet to be caught, which doesn’t sit right with many people.
