Alicia Keys is dropping her new album Keys this Friday and the tracklist is already out. But it doesn’t include her anticipated collab with J. Cole.
During a recent interview, the 15-time Grammys Award winner explained that she did in fact, work with Cole on two songs during their studio session in the Bahamas.
“That’s the first time we connected,” she told Complex’s 360 with Speedy Morman. “He came through, he happened to be in the same place. We were talking, we were conversating, building…And then we just kinda happened to fall on some vibes or some things or some flows.”

She went on to reveal that they recorded “two or three of them.” She added, “we’ll see what happens.”
Alicia also confirmed that the songs might be released in the future. “It’s really possible,” she said. “It’s good too. I liked it and it was easy, it was fluid.”
The singer aroused fans’ expectations in September when she posted footage from their studio session with The Off-Season rapper, only to disappoint them when he was missing from her album tracklist that was unveiled recently.
