Joey Badass’ next album doesn’t have an exact release date but he says it’ll arrive this year
Brooklyn lyricist Joey Bada$$ hasn’t released an album since 2017, but in a statement he made during a recent Instagram live stream, he revealed “the album dropping this year for sure.” The rapper said he doesn’t have a date for the untitled project yet, but it’s on the way.

“S**t, the album dropping this year for sure,” the Pro Era founder said. “I ain’t going to say exactly when, though, because there are certain rappers who be on my heels… It’s coming though.”
Aside from music, the 26 year-old has been focusing on his acting career, appearing on TV shows like Mr. Robot, Boomerang, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Grown-ish, and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, as well as starring on the Academy-winning short film, Two Distant Strangers.
Joey dropped his last album, All-Amerikkkan Badass, in 2017 that reached at No. 5 on Billboard 200. The album had followed up 2015’s B4.Da.$$. He also has three mixtapes under his belt: 2012’s 1999 and Rejex, as well as 2013’s Summer Knights. The last time Joey dropped a project was in 2020 with The Light Pack.
