50 Cent claims JAY-Z attempted to block his Super Bowl performance in 2022, detailing the interference he faced
50 Cent again reasserts that JAY-Z tried to block him from performing in the 2022 Super Bowl and explains the type of interference. The G-Unit general appeared unannounced during Dr. Dre’s iconic halftime show in Los Angeles, an event also featuring Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.
50 Cent almost didn’t perform at the show for the obvious reason that JAY-Z was using some backdoor influence, because he has been one of the leading figures in organizing the halftime show since signing with the NFL in 2019.
In an interview on Cam’ron’s new show Talk With Flee, 50 suggested that the fight was business, not just music. Talking now, though, about his Sire Spirits liquor, which has relationships with 11 major league sporting teams, 50 Cent explained that he also might have been a cause of friction because these owners were beginning to see the power of 50 and wanted to align with him too due to his high-profile connections and perhaps even more because he appeals to a lot of rich sports team owners.
