50 Cent is launching the 50 Cent Action Channel on December 10, featuring his films and STARZ series ‘Power’
50 Cent is launching its own celebrity-branded FAST channel in partnership with Lionsgate, the 50 Cent Action Channel, set to premiere on December 10 on Roku. Curated by the rapper and entrepreneur, the channel will bring forth his favorite films and shows from the vast library of Lionsgate, featuring more than a dozen films with 50 Cent himself, in addition to his hit STARZ series, Power.
The channel will also introduce featured events inspired by some of his songs and albums, with one being a heist-themed special inspired by his 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and another being a female-centered action stunt based on his 2008 G-Unit single “I Like The Way She Do It”. Excited about the deal is Roku’s VP of Content Acquisition & Programming Jennifer Vaux when speaking about 50 Cent’s global reach and the unique excitement of this action-cum-behind-the-scenes channel. The channel will also yield events inspired by his songs and albums, such as a heist-themed special for his 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and a female action stunt inspired by his 2008 G-Unit single “I Like The Way She Do It”.
Roku’s VP of Content Acquisition & Programming, Jennifer Vaux, said that the company was very excited about this partnership, especially as 50 Cent is a global talent and that for the channel itself, the action programming along with behind-the-scenes only makes it that much more exciting. 50 Cent even mentioned it on Instagram, saying that he envisions it becoming the top FAST channel in one year.
