Roddy Ricch‘s debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial arrived on December 6, 2019. Roddy’s album is a cohesive body of work, in terms of production and even lyrics. He’s able to inflect his voice in many ranges, providing an interesting listen on his tracks.

The album begins with his intro, which then leads into his chart-topping track, “The Box.” The song is now number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The cinematic production mixed in with Roddy saying “ehh err” is what pulls people in. We then are launched into the bass-knocking production by 30 Roc.

“The Box” was created at 6am in New York City. Before “The Box” was even created, Roddy had made six other songs that night. Keefa recalls the all nighter. “You can only imagine my face when Roddy already finished the song and said ‘wait let me add something,” Keefa from Atlantic Records said. “EHH ERR was born.”
