Bobby Shmurda denied parole; will likely get out December 2021

No early release for Bobby Shmurda

Bobby Shmurda has been denied parole from New York State prison. The decision was made last week and Shmurda will likely remain in prison until the end of 2021.

On September 15, Bobby Shmurda, who’s real name is Kevin Pollard, was denied parole during his interview with the Board of Parole. Correction Department states Pollard was  “given a hold until the maximum expiration of his sentence on December 11, 2021.”

Shmurda’s original parole hearing was set for the week of August 17, but got pushed back for another 28-30 days. Shmurda has been locked up since December 2014, when he begin serving his sentence.

Prosecutors stated Shmurda was a part of a gang (GS9) who participated in rivals with other gangs. In 2016, Shmurda pled guilty to conspiracy in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

It’s been nearly six years, and the anticipation for Shmurda to return home has not dropped. He will be embraced with open arms upon his return. One more year and a couple months to go on his sentence. Free Bobby — Rowdy.
