Price sheds light on the black experience on new CLRD. project

“I love being colored,” PRICE says on the opening track of his CLRD project, a project which showcases his talents, which has been profoundly sought after over the years. The 28-year-old, Inland Empire native, doesn’t have much to prove, but he has much to show to new an old listeners.

Price is in-depth on his impressive, cohesive body of work, as he details the struggles and triumphant happenings of a black man in America — black in general — because color is beautiful.

“CLRD is a celebration of Black joy in a time of unrest and actually is a project I began recording before the pandemic,” Price said in a statement. “From our music to our food, families and homies, I’m telling a story that will give my people something to be inspired by during these times where we can be killed by the police or even choked and killed by each other. CLRD is celebrating the everyday things that allow us to persevere, survive and thrive despite adversity.”

For the 8-track project, Price and Boi-1da take over the production, with features from Candice Boyd, Kota the Friend, Tone Stith, Alayah Simone, Camper and G Perico.
