On the heels of releasing “Backdoor” single, Lil Durk drops new album, The Voice

Following the release of Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” single, more attention was drawn to Lil Durk — more than ever. The Chicago native, Atlanta-based artist released his album ‘Just Cause Ya’ll Waited 2‘ back in the early parts of May; he showcased why he’s truly the voice of the streets and trenches.

Durk continued to be “The Voice” on the title single to his now-released album, followed by “Stay Down” featuring Young Thug and 6LACK. Due to the untimely, tragic death of his artist, twin, family, King Von, Durk took some time off offline. He then returned in Chicago with 1017 artist, Pooh Shiesty to shoot the music video for “Back In Blood,” where Durk was spotted wearing a fitted, with “V. Roy” written on the side.

Earlier this week, Dec. 21, Durk released a new single and video, “Backdoor,” sharing the hashtag “#doitforVon.” Now, two 3 days later, he gifts his fans with his album, The Voice. The cover showing the late King Von and himself, with the words “Long Live Grandson” written on the cover.
