NoCap is now a free man
Mobile, Alabama, up-and-coming rapper NoCap is back outside after spending seven months in jail. The rapper on Friday (June 23) updated his Instagram page with a new pic, announcing that he’s officially a free man. “When You Important It’s Hard To Hide Im Back Doe,” he captioned the new pic, shot by Teezy, his photographer.
NoCap, real name Kobe Crawford, surrendered himself to the police on January 11. As per Mobile County Sheriff’s Office inmate database, Cap was being held for probation violation, it’s unclear what exactly he did that led to the charge. This was days after the “Overtime” rapper announced that he would turn himself in in 30 days.

The 22-year old artist currently has an open case stemming from a 2019 shooting incident where the rapper allegedly opened fire into an occupied home. The rapper and the victim are said to have entered into an argument before shots were fired.
NoCap’s debut album, Mr. Crawford, had been in the works before he went to jail. Towards the end of 2020, the rapper announced the album and shared artwork, which is of course subject to change. The release date for the album is unknown, but it’s good to see NoCap back on the grind to finish it up.
