Sounwave says, “new creations on the way”
Sounwave, TDE's in-house producer who is behind Kendrick Lamar's classic hits like “Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe,” “King Kunta,” and “A. D. H. D,” has returned to social media after spending a year off the spotlight. The producer started his year with an Instagram post on Saturday (January 1) showing his laptop and production apparatus.

“Took a full year off to get realigned with what I love to do,” he wrote in the caption. “New creations on the way,” he added.
While fellow producers Rapsody, Terrace Martin, Boi-1da, as well as TDE members Ret One, Kenny Beats, and BADBADNOTGOOD welcomed Sounwave back, many fans had their hopes for a new Kendrick album revived. “New Kendrick soon?” One Instagram user asked. “Plz tell Kendrick to drop,” another added.
K. Dot began the album rollout for the follow-up to his 2017's Pulitzer Prize-winning, DAMN, in August when he made a rare announcement that the album will be his last release through his long-time home label, TDE.
In September, it was reported that the California megastar registered over 30 song titles on ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). Among the registered tracks are unheard records like “Before The Hangman's Noose,” “Director,” “Believe,” “Blow Ya Mind,” Feel For You,” “End of the Line,” “Erika Kane,” “Driving Down The Darkness,” “Lesson Learned,” “Living My Life” and Hood Love.”
