As Covid-19 cases continue to rise in California, the NFL is looking at alternative venues outside the state should the pandemic get on the way. According to ABC, the league is considering the AT&T Stadium in Texas as a possible backup to the scheduled SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. It is however a norm for the league to seek out backup stadiums every year.

“We plan on playing Super Bowl LVI as scheduled at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said. “As part of our standard contingency planning process that we conduct for all regular and postseason games, we have contacted several clubs to inquire about stadium availability in the event we cannot play the Super Bowl as scheduled due to weather-related issues or unforeseen circumstances.”

During a talk on Ela and Peyton Manning’s Monday Night Football show on ESPN, Snoop Dogg shared his excitement for the impending performance.

“We so thankful that the NFL is accepting Hip Hop on stage and letting us do what we do,” he said. “We plan on putting together a great show to give the people something that they been waiting on.”

The Compton rapper also gave assurance that the performance will be one of a kind in Hip Hop history. “You know, they love to watch a Super Bowl game but at the same time at halftime, we be loving to see who’s going to perform,” Snoop stated. “So we’re going to give you the greatest performance you’ve ever seen Hip Hop history.”
