When was J-Live born? J-Live was born on February 22
Brooklyn rapper J-Live was born Jean-Jacques Cadet in NYC in 1976. He is an underground icon that started rapping in 1993. He had a serious run in the early 2000s thanks in large part to his album The Best Part. Due to label issues, he didn’t get the proper recognition he deserved as the jiggy era collided with the new Millenium and a post 9-11 world.
J-Live has worked with Pete Rock, 88 Keys, and DJ Premier to name a few. He served as a schoolteacher in Brooklyn from 1998 to 2002 and his raps are often witty and educational.
