Eminem is still making history
Eminem is one of the most successful artists of all time, and yet he continues to break records. According to a press release by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on Tuesday (March 8), Slim Shady received 73.5 million new certifications, making him the most certified artist in RIAA’s history.
Em is also one of the only 7 artists across all genres and eras to receive three or more diamond album certifications. The Detroit native has a total of six diamond certifications – three singles and three albums. He also has a total of 227.5 million certifications – 166 million singles and 61.5 million albums.

Em’s most successful album is Curtain Call: The Hits from 2005 which was certified diamond on Tuesday. In 2017, it was also declared the longest-running LP on Billboard 200 Chart history. 2002’s The Eminem Show which is 12x platinum, comes second. The third is 2000’s Marshal Mathers LP which is certified 11x platinum.
