One of the biggest shows in history was held in February at the 2022 Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. The show was headlined by Dr. Dre, accompanied by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.

During a recent Drink Champs Podcast hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN, and featured Snoop Dogg, N.O.R.E revealed that Jay Z told him that Eminem was not going to perform at the Halftime show if long-time friend 50 Cent wasn’t present.

“I said to JAY-Z, I have to ask this straight up,” N.O.R.E. recounted. “‘Who is gonna perform at the NFL?’ and he said to me—and I’m sorry for everybody who don’t understand—and he said, ‘the white guy called for 50 Cent,’” he said. “I said, ‘Who is the white guy? Jimmy Iovine?’ And he said, ‘No, Eminem called directly for Fifty and he said I can’t do it if I can’t bring 50 with me.’ That’s spiritual.”
